Posters went up in town about our Big Tree Textile project – which we hope to display at COP26. It’s an example of craftivism – valuing and highlighting what trees do for us, while also advertising our Climate Café! We had around 40+ responses and leaves, berries, birds and blossom started to arrive, created during lockdown.
One tree for each season assembled like a wee forest, we hope!

Our creative contributors have used crochet, knitting, felting, machine embroidery etc only using remnants of yarns and fabrics. Huge thanks to Tracie Dick of Nest Creative Spaces in Blair for her help and inspiration and to Louise Tanner of Geodesign for all her IT work in contacting and updating everyone. Thanks to everyone else involved in being creative on behalf of trees.
Get involved!
