  • Carbon Brief  covers  climate science, energy and policy, specialising in clear, data-driven articles to improve the understanding of climate change.  
  • The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change provides the science to underpin UN climate negotiations, including their 2023 assessment 
  • The Scottish Parliament Information Centre (SPICe) is an impartial office of the Scottish Parliament, producing blogs and research briefings on climate change.  
  • The UK Parliament has a number of offices producing material on climate change, including the House of Commons Library, the House of Lords Library, and the Parliamentary office of Science and Technology  
  • The European Parliamentary Research Service is the European Parliament’s in-house research service and think tank. Producing a variety of material on climate change  
  • The Conversation is an independent source of news analysis and informed comment written by academic experts working with professional journalists – including on the environment 
  • The United Nations has focused webpage resources on climate change with more detail at the United Nations Environment Programme, and United Nations Development Programme 
  • The International Institute for Sustainable development has a strategic focus on climate change .   

Food  

  • The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations seeks to create a world without hunger and poverty.   
  • SEFARI – Scottish Environment, Food and Agriculture Research Institutions collaborate to deliver the Scottish Government funded Strategic Research Portfolio 2022-2027 on agriculture, environment, food, land and rural communities. 
  • The Food, Farming and Countryside Commission is an independent charity established to help shape the future of food and farming, land use and the countryside.  
  • Nourish is a charity focusing on food policy and practice – working for a fair, healthy and sustainable food system that truly values nature and people. 

Energy  

  • Carbon Brief has specific resources on energy 
  • Stockholm Environment Institute research explores options for a clean energy future 
  • The European Environmental Bureau has specific resources on renewable energy and wider resources on climate change 
  • National Geographic has resources introducing renewable energy 
  • The Energy Saving Trust includes resource on producing energy at home, and making your home more efficient  

Transport  

  • The European Environment Agency has specific resources on transport and mobility  
  • The European Environmental Bureau has specific resources on air pollution  
  • Transport and Environment have resources on all modes sustainable transport and the related policy issues
