Since November 2021 we offer a regular forum where citizens of the city of Bonn and the surrounding area can meet for a cup of coffee or tea and exchange ideas on the topics of climate and sustainability in an informal setting. Everyone is invited and you can shape the discussion yourself, i.e. the format is open!
Whether you simply want to learn more about these topics, talk about your hopes or concerns regarding the climate crisis, or become active yourself – the Climate Café is definitely the place to be!
The Climate Café is jointly organised by the local groups HealthForFuture and Psychologists4Future e.V. Both H4F and Psy4F are a non-institutional and non-partisan association of people who advocate for more climate and environmental protection from a health professional or psychological perspective.

We meet on a monthly basis at the Museum Koenig in Bonn (https://bonn.leibniz-lib.de/en) although we do sometimes meet at other venues, too. Please refer to our homepage for dates and location.
Meetings are mostly in German, but break-out-sessions in English can be organised if sufficient english speakers are present.
- No climate café session is the same! While some topics naturally come up repeatedly, there’s always something new and inspiring in each session, leading to new ideas and new connections being formed.
- Visitors can actively shape the Climate Café which often leads to sessions focussed on a particular topic. We’ve had sessions on topics like climate communication, sessions with guest initiatives and are currently preparing a session with the Scientists4Future on scientific questions our visitors had regarding the climate crisis.
- When you bring people together, projects, both private and public, emerge! A lovely project that two visitors of our café initiated is repairing old bikes for children and donating them to children in need, thus addressing a social issue while at the same time promoting a healthy and climate-friendly means of transportation.
