Climate Café® Campy Growers started in 2025, based in a community growing project in Dundee. The Climate Cafe® creates a space for local people to get together to drink, chat and act on climate and nature, with the chance to be outdoors and connect with nature too.
We meet on the first Sunday of each month from 10am till about midday. Campy Growers is a community food-growing project located in Camperdown Country Park.
We are a volunteer-led charity producing lots of lovely, organically grown, low emissions veg for the local community. Part of our mission is sustainability and education; we thought a Climate Café® would be a good way for our volunteers to expand their understanding of the climate and ecological emergency and to get active in whatever ways we can.
We are all about the veg! We look to combine traditional, low-energy techniques with new technology to make food production as efficient and sustainable as possible. Climate resilience needs to be incorporated into food production asap so we are ready when the disasters hit.

Biodiversity and wildlife are an important part of the Campy Growers, bringing in habitat creation/restoration, rewilding and wildlife recording while sustaining a diverse biome alongside our food growing. We try to work with nature, but the voles eating our beetroot have been testing our tolerance, until the predators started to arrive in the form of a stoat and a heron. They are helping to balance the ecosystem for us. We do a lot of moth recording on site, still hoping for a lime hawk moth!

We are set up for movies as well as chat. We now have a screening of Fires and Fascism https://fires-and-fascism.co.uk/ booked in for Sunday 8th March 2026.
