Established in 2023, Climate Café® Inverness was coordinated by Isabel from the social enterprise Velocity Café & Bicycle Workshop and by Rachel from the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub.
We wanted to create a space in Inverness where the community can come together to talk, share ideas, get inspired and act on climate change. It is a space where everyone gets to contribute and the conversation moves through the topics people are interested in. Expect the chat to be wide ranging, with a positive focus on what we can do with have themed nights, guest speakers, talks from local organisations and groups, film nights, climate book clubs and so much more!
We currently meet once a month at the Velocity Café in Inverness.
Velocity Café & Bicycle Workshop is a social enterprise based in Inverness since 2012. Velocity has a vegetarian café, bicycle workshop and a range of projects promoting health, wellbeing and sustainability. Velocity is one of the founding members of the Highland Community Waste Partnership which aims to reduce waste and build a movement for more sustainable across the Highlands.
