In a new collaboration, the Highlands & Islands Climate Hub, one of the pathway Climate Action Hubs in Scotland, and the Climate Café® Network co-curated a session at the Scottish Rural and Islands Parliament in Fort William, November 2023.
During development of the session, we worked with Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) including researchers Alexa Green and Dr Ana Vuin as well as Artemis Pana from the Scottish Rural and Islands Parliament, to curate, listen and learn from the Climate Café® chat shared at the event.
This #ClimateCafe space to #DrinkChatAct on #climate followed an inspirational film from the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub, showcasing climate action across the Highlands and Northern isles of Scotland.

“At the Scottish Rural and Island Parliament 2023 Climate Session, around 80 participants watched a short film about the myriad of social enterprises across the Highlands and Islands working on climate initiatives. They were invited to take part in a Climate Café ® to their ideas and action in their own communities to tackle the climate crisis. Several cross-cutting themes emerged from the conversations and are captured in this policy spotlight.“
