Climate Café® pops up in Scottish Government

17th June 2024

This week sees the start of new #ClimateCafe spaces popping up in the Scottish Government, to bring people together to #DrinkChatAct on #climate.

The first Climate Café® at Victoria Quay, will create a welcoming space for staff to drop into, to share information, ideas and to get involved in climate action.

As with many new Climate Café® spaces, the first Café will kick off with a Climate Reality presentation – this time from two of our Directors, Jess and Ruby, trained by former US Vice President, Al Gore with The Climate Reality Project in 2013 and 2018.

This slide deck will inform on the latest science, impacts and solutions – to inform the chat and action that will be community led, by all those who wish to attend. The next session for Scottish Government civil servants will be held online.

These could become regular spaces to #DrinkChatAct on climate across Government, spaces that is valued in more work places and local government too.
