In the run up to COP 26, Climate Café is excited to work with Climate Reality Leaders from across the UK.
If your community would like to set up a Climate Café, we will be able to provide you with a starter pack and put you in touch with a Climate Reality Leader who will be happy to share a presentation on the latest science, impacts and solutions to the climate emergency we face.
A presentation from a Climate Reality Leader, trained by Former US Vice President, Al Gore will enable everyone to feel informed, up to date and confident in their own climate knowledge. This can start a great conversation in your own community and continue with a Climate Café.
We recommend this presentation as a starting point for new Cafés, to inform and inspire the conversations that will continue. For those who would like to start up a Climate Café, a community pack can offer guidance and support informed by learning from others.
If you do get started, you can let us know and the Climate Café and Climate Reality UK team can help to connect you up with other communities in your area who are getting together too. We may be able to help find other projects, speakers and ideas that might be of interest too.
Climate Cafés are first and foremost a place to meet and chat. In our experience they do often inspire action, new connections, ideas and projects – but if and when that happens, will depend on your people and place – every Climate Café is unique!
Our Climate Cafés commit to be safe, open, inclusive, non judgemental, apolitical spaces; and all those who would like to be featured can do so on here on our Climate Café Hub.
If you would like to consider creating a Climate Café space in your community, education or work place, please let us know! We will share a community pack with you when it is launched.
